C. Scott Kee

Attorney C. Scott Kee is an aggressive litigator at Rodgers Kee & Pearson, P.S. and maintains a diverse civil litigation practice in the areas of contract disputes, collections, corporations, contractor claims, insurance, probate, and personal injury. Scott has tried cases in the District and Superior Courts of Thurston, Mason, Pierce, Grays Harbor, and Lewis Counties. He has also tried cases in the United States Federal Court for the Western District of Washington.

When necessary, Scott has the knowledge and ability to aggressively represent his clients in the courtroom. However, being cognizant of the fact that a client's needs are dependent upon that client's particular circumstances, Scott's broad litigation experience has instilled a belief that the most efficient result for the client is often found by creating a solution wherein a dispute is resolved short of litigation.

Scott has spent many years coaching youth sports and volunteering in the Community. In fact, in 2009 Scott was named Program Volunteer for the Downtown Branch of the YMCA. Scott also was named a Champion for Kids of Thurston County in 2010. Scott has served on the Boards for the Downtown Olympia YMCA, Family Support Center of Thurston County, and Blackhills FC. He is active in his church and frequently volunteers his time to assist with the local schools and the Thurston County Boys and Girls Club.

In zealously advocating for their Client, Scott Kee and Megan Card obtained summary judgment in Thurston County Superior Court, successfully arguing that a bank account in excess of $300,000 was held jointly between Client and her mother, and was a non-probate asset which passed directly to Client. Client's brother appealed the decision. After argument and briefing by Scott Kee and Megan Card, the Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the trial court, finding that the proceeds from the bank account were solely owned by Client. Client’s brother then sought review from the Washington State Supreme Court. After briefing by Scott Kee and Megan Card on behalf of their Client, the Supreme Court denied review, thus upholding the decision of the Court of Appeals that the funds belonged to Client.

Scott and his wife Tami live in Tumwater and stay busy raising their four daughters.

Client Testimonials:

Dear Scott, the words "thank you" do not seem adequate enough to express all that you have done for us. Your willingness to meet with us on short notice, your ability to listen to our story, to direct and guide us, to arrange referring us to Jim Dixon and writing a letter for us. Also your calm and gentle manner really helped put us at ease.

Scott, we feel that we were truly blessed when we met you. Thanks again. Sincerely, [TR & PJR]. God Bless you Scott.

Scott, we wanted to thank you for all you did to help our families recently. We're all sleeping much better now that it's all behind us. It isn't much, but we're including a card that's good for anything we offer at our salon. It's the least we can do. If you aren't interested please feel free to share it with your wife if she would like to have something done. Thanks again so much. [C] and family

Dearest Scott, thank you so much for your help and kindness to myself and our Dad. I appreciate you and your professionalism! Thanks you also for your generosity! God Bless. Your friends, [D & J]

Dear Scott, last November I contacted you seeking some information. I was in Oregon at the time as my father had passed away. You were very kind and provided the information I sought. I have not forgotten what you did for me. I am sorry it was taken me all this time to let you know how much I appreciated your willingness to help me out and to call me back in Oregon.

Again, I am greatly indebted to you for not only your help last November but for your help three years ago. You are one of the great ones Scott and I am pleased to know you. Sincerely, [PSR]

Dear Jennifer Pearson and C. Scott Kee, our family would like to thank you two individuals very much for all your energies that you have put forth on behalf of the situation [R] has created for himself. You both have shown considerable professionalism, extraordinary self control when faced with the hard headedness; impatience; and basic ignorance of the principals of law that our family has unfortunately demonstrated for you.

Your compassion is very much appreciated. Thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts. Robert will continue on with his learning experience (aka life), as we his parents continue on. Hopefully he will learn to listen to your sound advice. Respectfully yours, [M&C]

Scott, thank you so very much for everything you have done to help our family during this ordeal. Your kindness, clear thinking, and compassion, helped to keep us all on an even keel.

A special thanks for you support of my sister. She is a special lady and would not have maneuvered the twists and tangles of the legal system without your continued counsel and wisdom.

The next time we meet, it will be under better circumstances. I look forward to this. [D]

[J] and I are wishing you a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
