Attorneys Fee Information
As a Prospective
client of Ditlevson Rodgers Dixon, P.S., we want to discuss fees and costs with
you at your initial conference. It is our intention to provide the
best legal services possible, and we would like to resolve this important issue
with all clients at the outset of our relationship with you.
The majority of our
clients will be billed on an hourly basis. Our basic hourly rates are $170.00
to $225.00 per hour for the services of an attorney on our staff and $75.00
per hour for a legal assistant on our staff. Some cases will be handled
on a fixed fee basis. Some cases, primarily personal injury cases, may be
handled on a contingent fee basis, or a contingent fee/hourly minimum
basis. The majority of cases will necessitate an advance deposit for
attorney's fees and costs. All Court costs and trial preparation costs
will be handled and billed separately from attorney's fees. As a general
rule, clients will be required to maintain the amount of the advanced fee
deposit on a month-to-month basis until the matter is complete.
If you retain our
firm, before work is commenced on your matter, we will finalize your fee/cost
agreement with us. In most cases this will be in the form of a written
agreement. This document will include an understanding of the minimum
advanced deposit for costs and fees, the terms for payment of interim costs and
fees, and an overall assessment of potential costs and fees. Please ask
any and all questions you have relating to your agreement. We look forward to
working with you.
